Our Management Team

In addition to their behind-the-scenes efforts to ensure smooth operations, our managers are actively engaged in the community, working closely with clients, advocating for and supporting clients and their families, and assisting in the Adult Day Program.

TAMMY ADAMS, OWNER & FOUNDER

Tammy, with a strong background in Education and Social Service, opened Silver Lights in 2018 to support seniors in the City of Kawartha Lakes in living independently at home. Supported by her husband and two daughters, Tammy's dedication led her to return to school in 2022 to obtain her PSW certificate. This qualification allowed her to provide better personal care assistance to clients in the Adult Day Program and effectively lead the team of PSWs at Silver Lights Senior Services.

Born and raised in Kawartha Lakes, Tammy is known for her caring nature, compassion, trustworthiness, dedication, and personable demeanor. During her spare time, she indulges in activities such as boating, snowmobiling, gardening, traveling, and cherishing moments with her loved ones.

SUSAN FISHER, MANAGING DIRECTOR

Since August 2021, Susan has held the position of Managing Director at Silver Lights Senior Services. She possesses a strong background in Recreation Therapy and management across various settings such as Long Term Care, Retirement Homes, and Adult Day Programs. Additionally, Susan has previous experience working with the Alzheimer Society as both a Client Support Coordinator and Fund Development Coordinator. In July 2022, Susan's mother received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, which has reignited her passion for supporting individuals living with dementia and their families.

Born and raised in Port Sydney, Muskoka, Susan relocated to the Kawartha Lakes area 16 years ago. It was here that she met her now-husband, and they have since built a life in the area alongside their daughter.
